"It doesn't matter which side of the tracks you're from, the train still rolls the same." - Robert M. Hensel

The authorities in Mancelona, MI might take issue with Mr. Hensel's comments after an unexplained derailment Saturday morning. There are investigations to be had, but this GP35 locomotive from the Great Lakes Central Railroad has clearly favored one side of the tracks. Nearly a third of the freight cars came to an untimely stop when they ventured a little too far west of the northbound train. Michigan State Police Sgt. David Johnson said some things and we are eagerly awaiting more things to be said. One thing that has been confirmed is that a GP35 locomotive is NOT a Big Boy. A representative from Union Pacific Railroad is onsite to articulate the differences between their flagship engine and GLC's workhorse. The main difference being that the GP35 does not have a cool nickname.
Here's a joke:
A GP35 and a Big Boy locomotive went out for milkshakes. When the waitress delivered their drinks, she could tell the Big Boy was giving the coal shoulder so she said to the GP35, “Diesel cheer you up!”.
